About Sheila

Sheila Shepherd
Having worked for many years in the pharmaceutical industry, I decided to change direction and to develop my life-long interest in Nutrition Science, food and cooking, into a career, and to study Nutritional Therapy.

I gained my Nutritional Therapy Diploma from the Raworth College School of Nutritional Therapy in Surrey, graduating with distinction, and now practice in the Milton Keynes area as a professional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

I actively keep up to date with developments in nutritional science through Continual Professional Development and nutritional research.

I am a full member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy).

What can you expect from Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a natural healthcare system that supports the body’s own healing mechanisms through the promotion of a healthy diet and lifestyle.  It does not claim to cure disease but instead supports your physical, mental and emotional health by boosting the body’s biological processes of sustenance and repair – if and when it is capable of doing so. Nutritional Therapy provides a balanced approach to food choices and nutrition that considers your individual needs and lifestyle.  Good nutrition helps build the body’s natural strength and resistance; however, no claim is made as to the efficacy of any nutritional protocols. The degree of benefit obtainable from Nutritional Therapy may vary between clients with similar health problems and following a similar Nutritional Therapy programme.
