DR PETER BERKIN

Peter was born in 1952 in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He was a pupil at Doncaster Grammar School before studying medicine at St Mary's Hospital Medical School in London.
Peter has been a general practitioner in Milton Keynes since 1981. It is in recent years that he has developed a particular interest in the complementary therapies and has committed himself to establishing integrated medical care for his patients. Senior partner at Watling Vale Medical Centre in Shenley Church End, Peter commissioned the building of the purpose built Centre for complementary medicine, now known as Alternatives, in late 1999 and his efforts finally came to fruition with the opening of the building in August 2001. With the constant help and support of his wife Chard, he has now developed a team of eighteen complementary therapists working to establish a true, integrated approach to medical care in the twenty-first century.
